SY 56m E-volution the new ketch by Perini Navi

Last March, on the occasion of the 34th edition of the Palm Beach International Boat Show, one of the leading American events dedicated to boating, Perini Navi presented its new production, distinguished in two series of sailing and motor boats E-volution and Argonaut respectively.

“We have invested heavily in these new product lines that offer our customers innovative solutions and, at the same time, continuity with the tradition of our brand”, says Lamberto Tacoli, President and CEO of Perini Navi. “The US market has strategic importance for Perini and we have every intention of making our profile grow with additional investments.”

For the E-volution series it is also planned to build a new two-mast sailing yacht 56 ​​meters long and 10.7 wide.

This new SY 56m E-volution fully incorporates all the features that have made the Perini Navi brand boats famous around the world with its classic timeless style with the unmistakable deckhouse design, curved windows and the large flybridge but with modern vision of form space and functionality.

A boat that confirms the high quality standards of large sailing yachts in the 56 meter series of the same company and like its predecessors, this very advanced last generation ketch has a lower tonnage of 500GT.

 

The aluminum hull stands out for its contemporary exterior design and the habitability and usability of its enormous equipped outdoor spaces that extend up to the transom to make life on board as comfortable as possible both when sailing and when you are stay in the harbor or in a port always ensuring the necessary privacy.

 

The shape of the hull combines perfectly with a generous sail plan to guarantee the yacht an exceptional balance and seaworthiness composed of two 62 and 52 meter high aluminum masts supporting a total sail area of ​​2,177 square meters.

 

The keel will have a draft varying between a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 11 meters.

For the interiors, there will be the creation of 5 guest cabins, one of which is for the owner plus 4 for the crew and another one reserved for the captain. Even the interior volumes have increased to make room for new elements of comfort that are usually not found in a sailboat.

The absolute novelty of this new boat as for all the others of the E-volution series is the hybrid propulsion. This new propulsion system developed by Perini Navi allows the alternate use of a diesel and an electric motor. The electric motor, powered by a bank of lithium batteries that are recharged both when the boat goes to hybrid propulsion and when sailing, can be used for navigation along the coast and in marine protected areas in total silence or alternatively as electric generator in combination with the main diesel engine. This configuration makes it possible to obtain greater flexibility and redundancy both for propulsion and for electricity generators, all for the benefit of reliability.

The SY 56m E-volution is a ketch deliberately designed and built completely within Perini Navi and represents a synthesis of innovations and experience gained by the Company from over 35 years of activity in the construction of mega luxury sailing and motor yachts.
