Mystic Powerboats M4200 reliability, safety and performance.

Mystic Powerboats is an American shipyard that has made itself famous for building fast racing hulls for racing teams, with some models reaching speeds of over 200 miles per hour.

This is thanks to John Martin Cosker an American designer of fast boats, a pioneer in the design and production methods of high performance racing boats, who after graduating from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1991 founded the Mystic Powerboats shipyard in 1996.

Initially, the shipyard built only ultra-performing catamarans for the racing sector, subsequently it extended its production by building luxurious high-performance boats for pleasure boating and among these also the M4200 a fast center console boat with outboard engines, which still today represents a flagship boat of the yard.

The first M4200 was made in 2015 and is the best-selling model to date. Obviously, with the passage of time it has always been created with more advanced technology that with the passage of time is increasingly updated and deepened starting from the hull processing techniques and the new Mercury Racing outboard models.

The M4200 like all the yachting models of the shipyard has been designed to work in harmony with the reliability and power of the Mercury Racing engines.

Let’s say immediately that this center console powered by four Mercury Racing 450R outboard motors of the Verado series of 450 hp each manages to reach surprising speeds without almost realizing that it is going so fast and if the conditions are favorable you can touch top speeds ranging from 80 to 90 mph which is exceptional performance for boats of this type that would be more fishing-oriented than speed-oriented.

In addition, the M4200 has been built to go fast even in the most unfavorable conditions while always maintaining a safe and dry ride, thanks to a double-step V-hull in fiberglass reinforced with kevlar, which ensures the right stability and maneuverability at high speeds. even with not so favorable weather conditions, designed with modern lines with exceptional hydrodynamic properties and with a very deep freeboard that reaches up to 38 inches that offers safety and comfort to the passengers on board and allows a safe passage from bow to stern.

The hull is also equipped with a bow thruster to make maneuvering easier in port, night vision camera and rear view camera. The lighting is LED and a customizable JL high-end sound system is installed on the boat

The boat is 42 feet 10 inches (13.1 m) long; 10 feet 11 inches (3.3 m) wide; Dry weight 15,000 lbs (6,804 kg); Distance from the bridge 10 feet from the top of the radar (3.1m); Fuel capacity 400 gal. (1,514 l); Fresh water capacity 44 gal. (166 l); Tank capacity 16 gal (60 l); Transom deadrise 24 degrees; Maximum power 1800 hp.

The center console is covered by a huge hardtop and protected by a windshield and a pair of windshield dams that open from the sides of the console to protect all occupants in the cockpit during high-speed racing.

The huge hardtop, which certainly does not go unnoticed, is in light, elegant and resistant carbon fiber, the particular windshield that helps to easily cut the air, eliminating any resistance to the advancement of the boat is in plexiglass.

The cockpit is covered with a fabulous upholstery with the first 3 seats forward adjustable with wide padding.

The driving position is enriched with comfortable cup holders, a phone charging stand and two 22-inch flat screen Garmin 8622 multifunction devices, encased in the carbon-finished dashboard panels and Mercury controls.

Immediately behind the 3 forward seats with ample legroom there are 3 more seats for passengers so in the cockpit there are 6 seats (2 rows of 3)

The exteriors are characterized by a resistant and non-slip SeaDek flooring, which highlight the color combination of the two-tone vinyl upholstery of the comfortable seats present from bow to stern for a maximum capacity of 18 people.

The upholstery of the seats is coordinated with the color of the exterior of the boat with logos and stitching motifs made with meticulousness and perfectionism at the highest level.

While many yachtsmen think of center consoles as just a fishing boat, the M4200 offers more than it is a day boat where you can comfortably spend an entire day right on the outdoor spaces, there are a dozen comfortable places to relax, including a huge bow saloon that extends forward from the console, with plenty of stowage and an elegant and comfortable and equipped cabin below deck, ideal for extending the day on the water, with a mini-kitchen with microwave, sink and refrigerator, as well as a berth and a bathroom.

It has been set up for the yachtsman who appreciates both the functionality and performance of a center console, and the refinements and characteristics of a luxury boat with plenty of deck space with plenty of hidden stowage spaces. An ideal boat for day trips together with family and friends plus it has impressive speed and exceptional ride quality and reliability.
